Happy Educator Appreciation Week

Happy Educator Appreciation Week

Teacher Appreciation

A message from MTA President Max Page and Vice President Deb McCarthy:

Happy Educator Appreciation Week!

In the week beginning May 8, and every week, we are committed to showing educators the respect they deserve for their dedication to our students. Educators in prekindergarten through higher ed deserve professional autonomy. Educators deserve a living wage in every community. Educators need to know that we are listening to them and support them.

They are entrusted with the care and education of students in schools and on our campuses every day, and as a union, the MTA is dedicated to standing with them to address problems and make sure every educator feels respected and supported.

Join the Conversation on Social Media

Everyone can have a hand in bringing meaningful change to our public schools and campuses, and for our educators. Educators, families and allies of education can all pledge to take action and provide support for educators.

Please take just a minute to tell us what educators need to feel truly supported, seen and appreciated. Is it more respect, better safety, higher pay or changes to the high-stakes components of the MCAS? Please join the conversation on our social media networks – Facebook, Twitter and Instagram – using the hashtags, #TeacherAppreciationWeek , #EducatorAppreciationWeek or #ThankATeacher.
