Educators deserve our appreciation this week and every week

Educator Appreciation Week 2024

MTA President Max Page and Vice President Deb McCarthy sent the following message to MTA members today:

Happy Educator Appreciation Week!

Now more than ever, it is important that educators get the support and respect that they deserve. Educators in prekindergarten through higher ed in Massachusetts deserve to know that we support them, that they make a difference in the lives of their students, that they deserve a living wage, and earn our admiration throughout the year.

It’s more important than ever that we share that praise publicly.

Share your stories of great educators who inspired you, who changed your life or encouraged you when you needed a hand. Contact the NEA’s Educator Appreciation Week Hotline at 202-743-5371 to share the story of an extraordinary educator or a committed colleague. The NEA will share some of those stories with First Lady Jill Biden, to show leaders how much we value public educators.
