Call on your legislators to co-sponsor bills seeking increased funding for K-12 and higher education
Fund Our Future is a grassroots campaign made up of the MTA and allies working to put an end to years of underfunding of public education. The coalition is backing two bills — to increase funding for K-12 public schools by $1 billion per year and to provide public colleges and universities with an additional $500 million a year.
The bills, the Promise Act and the Cherish Act, have been filed in both the state House of Representatives and the state Senate. We need as many co-sponsors as possible to build support for this legislation.
