Board of Directors

• Board motion approved on Dec. 9, 2023: The Training and Professional Learning Division will develop a framework for discussing and set of curriculum resources for learning about the history and current events in Israel and Occupied Palestine, for MTA members to use with each other and their students.
• Board motion approved on Dec. 9, 2023: The MTA will join in solidarity with the UAW, CTU, and other labor unions across the country, in calling for an immediate and permanent ceasefire. The MTA President and Vice President will urge the president of the NEA to pressure President Biden to stop funding and sending weapons in support of the Netanyahu government’s genocidal war on the Palestinian people in Gaza.

Executive Committee

Executive Committee motion approved on Nov. 4, 2023: The MTA shall publicly support an immediate ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, and sign onto the UFCW & UE petition.
