Annual Meeting of Delegates

The successful fight for adequate funding of our public schools through the Fund Our Future campaign is just one example of MTA educators stepping up to help their students and communities. Having won the Student Opportunity Act, MTA activists have now turned their advocacy toward the Cherish Act, legislation that will bring about secure funding and workplace fairness for public higher education campuses.

Just as they have been doing since the MTA’s founding 175 years ago, educators spent the past year advocating for students, public education and fellow educators. This Year in Review video looks back at MTA member advocacy for education equity, workers’ rights and social and racial justice.
