MTA Today: All in for Fair Share
MTA Today: All in for Fair Share
The final push for the Fair Share Amendment is on. MTA members rallied with NEA President Becky Pringle to support the measure and then knocked on voters doors in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston. Meanwhile, Education Support Professionals have continued to make phone calls and canvass statewide as they fight for passage of the amendment, which is Question 1 on the statewide ballot. And MTA Retired members, who recently held their Gathering in person for the first time in three years, have contributed to the ongoing effort. In addition, the Fall issue of MTA Today includes articles on the Massachusetts Teacher of the Year, a Martha’s Vineyard educator; efforts to weave climate change education into school curriculum; and the urgency of reducing campus debt. A section containing MTA governance postings and the MTA 2022 General Election Guide are also included.
