Workshops on licensure scheduled in March, April

Want to learn more about the licensure process? Join MTA Education Policy Specialist Beth Tripathi for workshops on licensure at different stages.

Educator Licensure: Basics for Provisional and Initial Licensure
4-5:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 22, 2022

Are you looking to get your first Massachusetts educator license? Do you have questions about advancing your license between the levels of Provisional, Initial and Professional? We will review the general requirements for each stage and the various routes available. This will include identifying documentation for each field, MTELs, documenting coursework, applying in ELAR and educator preparation program requirements.

Educator Licensure: Professional & Renewal
4-5:30 p.m., Thursday, April 14, 2022

If you are applying for your first academic Professional-stage license or getting ready to renew a Professional license, we'll help you get prepared so that you can avoid rushing later. This workshop covers the general requirements for a first Professional license. All Professional licenses must renew every five years so we will explore options for collecting Professional Development Points (PDPs), documenting Individual Professional Development Plans (IPDPs) and working with ELAR.

These workshops are open and free to all MTA members. They will be held virtually on Zoom.
