It’s time to turn the page on an administration that has disregarded the experience and expertise of educators and start anew. The MTA is creating a unique opportunity for members to question and hear from two public servants who have worked closely with MTA members and are leading candidates to succeed outgoing Governor Charlie Baker.

We’ve scheduled the member forums to take place prior to the union’s formal candidate recommendation process, which will be conducted by the member-elected Candidate Recommendation Committee and then voted on by the MTA Board of Directors. MTA members will be shaping the questions to be asked at the forums, sharing their stories with the candidates, and providing your feedback at the end of the forums.

If you have a question for Attorney General Healey and state Senator Sonia Chang-Díaz, please submit it here. We encourage you to ask about education, labor, racial and social justice, the economy, or other issues that the next governor will be influencing.

Though the events will be conducted virtually, attendance will be capped to maintain a meeting format.
