Read the latest edition of MTA Today
In this edition, you’ll find a profile of Saul Ramos, a Worcester paraeducator who has been named the 2017 national ESP of the Year by the NEA. The union activist taught himself Braille when he began working with visually impaired students in the Worcester Public Schools more than 18 years ago. Meanwhile, activism is in full swing as plans are being finalized for the upcoming Rally for Public Education, which will be held on May 20 on Boston Common. You’ll also find a section on the MTA Annual Meeting of Delegates, as well as information about volunteering for the NEA Representative Assembly. In a first for Massachusetts, this summer’s RA is being held in Boston.
