Race Amity Conference to address the complexities of race

For the past three years, the National Center for Race Amity at Wheelock College has collaborated with the MTA to address the challenging issue of racial bigotry and prejudice in society.

The annual National Race Amity Conference, to be held November 1 and 2 at the Four Points Sheraton Hotel and Conference Center in Norwood, will provide resources allowing teachers to gain skills and insights to help them address the complex issue of race in society.

Participants can earn 10 PDPs (professional development points). While the 20 MTA/NCRA scholarships initially offered have all been claimed, conference organizers are offering MTA members a $100 discount off the registration fee. Interested MTA members should contact Dorri Ziai at dziai@wheelock.edu to get a discount code and registration instructions.
