Join the call for public education

Let Your Voice Be Heard

Imagine being able to ask Representative John Tierney (MA-6) a question about any issue related to public education without ever having to leave the comfort of your home. You can do so by participating in an upcoming telephone town hall, sponsored by the Massachusetts Teachers Association and the National Education Association.

Rep. Tierney will field questions from educators, community group members, and voters concerned about our public schools — via the telephone —during a telephone town hall meeting on Sunday, November 4 at 6:30pm EDT. (Please note the new date. The Oct. 29 telephone town hall was rescheduled due to the hurricane.)

Rep. Tierney is prepared to address a variety of subjects related to public education — including funding for public schools, early childhood education, ESEA reauthorization, postsecondary education and college affordability, and recruiting quality educators.

MTA members in the 6th congressional district will be invited to join the discussion on Sunday, November 4 via an automated phone call at 6:30pm.  In addition, a promotional call will be made to each member the day before as well.

Get involved and stand up for public education!  Let your voice be heard!
