Please urge Senators Kerry and Brown to oppose anti-worker provisions in the FAA bill

Please reach out to Senators John Kerry and Scott Brown today, Monday, February 6, and urge them to oppose the FAA reauthorization bill that includes anti-union provisions that would be devastating to workers’ rights and labor relations.

The bill – that the Republicans have amended to include anti-union provisions for airline and rail workers that would effectively end organizing in those sectors and start to erode contracts – is expected to reach the Senate floor this afternoon. The anti-worker language in this bill ultimately threatens to undermine even the strongest unions.

Click here to email Senators John Kerry and Scott Brown and urge them to oppose the FAA bill if these anti-worker provisions remain part of the legislation.  The senators can be reached by phone by calling the Congressional Switchboard, 202-224-3121.

Here is a suggested message:

Hello, my name is _____, and I am a constituent. I am calling to ask the Senator not to pass the FAA Reauthorization Bill with the unrelated labor provision that would gut collective bargaining rights for aviation and rail workers. This has no place in a bill for funding of aviation safety, heath and security. Please get it out of the bill or don't pass it. Thank you.
