MTA Election Results

Elections to the MTA Executive Committee, Board of Directors and Retired Members Committee were held during the May 13-14 Annual Meeting. Official results are tallied below:

Elected to the Executive Committee, for three-year terms starting July 1:

Region A: Sharon A. Carlson, Northampton
Region C:  Beth M. Stafford, Whitman-Hanson
Region F: Elizabeth Shevlin, Methuen
Region G: Kimberly A. Auger, Everett
Statewide Retired: Mary J. Gilmore
At-Large Education Support Professional: Millie M. Ficarra, Weymouth

Elected as district directors to the MTA Board of Directors, also for terms commencing July 1:

District 2A: Janice Tingley, Southwick
District 4A: Jean G. Fay, Amherst-Pelham
District 5A: Shirley Peaks, Springfield
District 26A: Donna V. Moran, Chicopee
District 8B: James M. Boland, Tantasqua Regional
District 11B: Michael  L. Whittier, Sutton
District 34C: Nancy Chadwick, Duxbury
District 15D: Merrie Najimy, Concord

There were also four vacancies on the Retired Members Committee filled during the Annual Meeting elelctions. Elected to two-year terms were Louise Russell, Eileen Cleary, Margaret “Peggy” Kane and Robert Lague.
