MTA President to be featured on panel on educator evaluation

This panel discussion will begin with a presentation from DESE Commisioner Mitchell Chester, who will briefly present his recommendations, which will be voted on by the Massachusetts Board of Education in late June.
MTA President Paul Toner will serve as a panelist along with Karla Baehr, deputy commissioner, Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education; Linda Noonan, executive director, Massachusetts Business Alliance for Education; Shakera Walker, teacher, Boston Public Schools & Teach Plus Teaching Policy Fellow and a principal and superintendent to be determined.
Teachers in the audience will join the conversation via live polling and Q&A opportunities. This event is run in partnership between Teach Plus and the Rennie Center for Education Policy & Research.
