Legislature's Revenue Committee "Listening Tour" continues

The Revenue Committee, chaired by Sen. Ben Downing (D -Pittsfield) and Rep. Jay Kaufman (D-Lexington) is conducting a series of hearings throughout Massachusetts this fall to hear what people are thinking, specifically about taxes and tax policy. Both chairs are supportive and understand the need for revenue, but also understand the economic realities in the current fiscal climate. It would be helpful for the members of the Revenue Committee to hear from MTA members and their support for raising revenues to support public education, K-G.

The committee visited Worcester on October 7 and Framingahm on October 13. The remaining hearings are scheduled as follows:
