Legislature's listening tour stops on Beacon Hill
The Joint Committee on Education continued its listening tour of the state with a hearing at the State House in Boston on Nov. 3.
Among those attending were, Paul Phillips, president, Quincy Education Association; Maryalice Sharkey, president, Winthrop Teachers Association (who testified about the fiscal crisis facing her towns schools); and Gerry Ruane, president of the Malden Education Association.
The committee is chaired by Sen. Robert A. Antonioni (D-Leominster) and Rep. Patricia A. Haddad (D-Somerset).
The listening tour continues through December 6.
