Case Study Seminars for beginning administrators
The MTA Center for Educational Quality and Professional Development, with funding from the MA Department of Education, will be offering an 18-hour, 6-session Case Study Seminars for Beginning Administrators [those in their first 2 years in the position].
Sites, Dates and Time:
Seminars will be in the locations below; registrants will be sent the name and directions to the training sites. All sessions will begin at 4:30 and end at 7:30 – a light meal will be provided. The dates at each site are:
- Lynnfield: March 25; April 1, 8, 15, 29; May 6
- Raynham: March 26; April 2, 9, 16, 30; May 7
- Longmeadow: March 24, 31; April 7, 14, 28; May 5

The topics to be covered in the course will include:
- Instructional Leadership Skills
- Data Analysis
- Curriculum Frameworks
- Principles of Effective Instruction
- Distributive Leadership
- Time Management
- Effective Evaluation Practices
PDPs/Graduate Credit option:
Participants may earn 18-45 PDPs depending on the PDP or graduate credit option selected and the amount of work successfully completed.
Cost:
Participation in this program is FREE OF CHARGE for those earning PDPs. Graduate credit is available through Fitchburg State College for fee of $120 that must be paid at the first meeting. All materials are provided through the grant funding.
