Any strike that has resulted from the strike vote that was scheduled to take place on January 27, 2022, as well as any other work stoppage, slowdown, or other withholding of services is illegal.
MTA believes it is in compliance with the Superior Court's order to cease and desist from inducing, encouraging, or condoning the work stoppage in Woburn. The actions it continues to take in support of reaching a fair contract at the bargaining table are protected by Section 2 of Chapter 150E of the Massachusetts General Law and are consistent with the order of the Commonwealth Employment Relations Board directing the Woburn Teachers Association and the Woburn School Committee to bargain in good faith.
