Apply to be a Teaching Ambassador

The January 29th deadline for applications to the USDOE Teaching Ambassador Fellowship program is fast approaching. The National Board for Professional Teaching Standards has compiled a series of resources to encourage and support you during the application process.

The first is a webinar taking place Monday, January 14 from 7 to 8 p.m. EST. During the hour you’ll have the opportunity to hear from National Board Certified Teachers who have served as Teaching Ambassador fellows, get tips for the application and ask questions about the fellowship experience. Register here.

You can email any questions you’d like answered to opportunities@nbpts.org using the title “Questions for the webinar.” Don’t worry if you’re unable to get your questions in ahead of time because you’ll also have an opportunity to ask questions during the webinar.

The second is an opportunity to talk one-on-one via email or over the phone with a current or former Teaching Ambassador Fellow who is also an NBCT. If you’d like to hear firsthand about the experience send us an email at opportunities@nbpts.org with the title “One-on-one” and we’ll connect you with a Teaching Ambassador Fellow.

To learn more about the program check out this short video that shares firsthand experience from a former Teaching Ambassador Fellow and NBCT.
