Summer issue of MTA Today now online

Summer 2012 Issue Members involved in the MTA’s grassroots political efforts are committed to helping pro-education candidates achieve victory in both the primary on September 6 and the general election, which follows two months later. Representatives of the association’s Legislative and Political Action Teams showed their enthusiasm during a photo session with local political action leaders and some of the staff members working on the campaign after spending several days honing their plans and skills during the MTA’s recent Summer Conference in Williamstown. A story on their efforts begins on page 7, and photos of the conference appear on page 8.

A primary election guide is also featured in this edition of MTA Today. [Member Log In Required]

Meanwhile, MTA President Paul Toner and Vice President Tim Sullivan are prepared to lead the association through the challenges that will arise in the days ahead. They discuss their second-term priorities in a Q&A that begins on page 3.
