What Every Future Teacher Needs to Know

This conference is for prospective teachers in teacher preparation programs. The conference will provide participants with additional tools to help them succeed in their first teaching position. In addition, it will introduce students to the benefits of participation in MTA/NEA, provide opportunities for prospective teachers to network with each other and encourage the development of student chapters at institutions of higher education throughout Massachusetts.

Five concurrent workshop sessions will be offered in two time slots:

  • "So...You Thought It Was Legal???"
  • Strategies for Teaching English Language Learners
  • C.A.R.E. - Closing the Achievement Gap
  • Classroom Leadership
  • Autism Spectrum Disorders: An Introduction

The conference will end with a single session Bullying Workshop.
