Rethinking Equity and Teaching for English Language Learners

The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education is proposing significant changes to educational requirements for teachers who have English language learners in their classrooms. These changes will affect thousands of educators, first in districts with a high percentage of ELL students and low performance, but soon throughout the state.
