Verizon, unions remain at bargaining table
MTA leadership is hopeful for a fair settlement as striking Verizon workers return to work.
"We are heartened to hear that Verizon and the unions will remain at the bargaining table and hope to hear soon that a fair agreement has been reached," said MTA President Paul Toner.
"The strikers won a lot of support by standing up for their rights and the rights of working people everywhere to reasonable job security, decent health care and other benefits."
