Stand in Solidarity with the Providence Teachers

MTA members are invited to participate in a March 2 rally in support of the educators of Providence, Rhode Island, who were unfairly fired last week and are fighting to rescind the terminations.

Last week, Providence Superintendent of Schools Thomas Brady sent termination letters to nearly 2,000 Providence educators in a move said to provide the administration with more flexibility to address a budget shortfall facing the city schools.

Come stand in solidarity with the members of the Providence Teachers Union at 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 2, at a rally outside of Providence City Hall.

RI Convention Center Garage is the closest parking.

The rally is sponsored by the Rhode Island Federation of Teachers and NEA-Rhode Island. More information is available at and
