ESP Conference plans underway

This is your year to participate in a weekend professional development conference designed exclusively for ESPs. If you have attended our ESP Conference before, welcome back to the Cape Codder Resort & Spa in Hyannis. If this is your first ESP Conference, get ready for a great experience. All ESPs are welcome!

You will have ample opportunity to meet ESPs from across the state. There will be time to gather and discuss the many issues that face all of us. In addition, the skills and ideas that you will take with you from this conference will contribute to your professional development.

This is your special opportunity to get high-quality professional development, conference materials, lovely accommodations and fabulous meals for a reasonable price. Workshop sessions fill to capacity quickly, so register early beginning January 22.

Here’s more good news. Many of you have purchased raffle tickets during ESP events over the past year to support ESP professional development. The money we’ve raised will be awarded as grants for members to attend the 2010 MTA ESP Conference. If your school district or your local association does not pay or reimburse your conference fees, you are eligible to apply. The grants are designed for ESPs who cannot obtain any financial assistance from either a school district or a local association. You can find more information and a link to the grant application at www.massteacher.org/esp. Reimbursements of $115 will be provided to grant recipients after the conference is held.

For online registration and a description of all of the workshops, go to www.massteacher.org/esp10.
If you are unable to register online, call Carolyn or Becky at 800.542.5504 for assistance.

Finally, if you have any questions about the conference, please contact Nancy Robbie at robbie@massteacher.org. We look forward to seeing you in Hyannis on April 9 and 10.
